And the gat that fattens your jacket pocket...
Drew has discovered that computer science is like sewer repair: It pays so well because nobody really wants to do it. Facing down a future of endlessly trudging through databases, Drew exists in a state of permanent pissed-offedness, a bubbling volcano of cynicism an free-floating hostility.
A serene, mellow person with a dry sense of humor, JM is the closest thing Mac Hall has to an official philosopher. He1s usually Ian1s partner on any crazy schemes, mostly because he wants to see what happens afterward.
As an aspiring journalist, Matt's job is to explain the world. And he1d be happy to, if any of it made the least bit of sense to him. Matt wanders around the university in a bewildered haze, and is prone to the occasional freak-out if the cards seem stacked against him.
The hub of the insanity-wheel that is Mac Hall, Ian's the eclectic artist-type. He's been known stay silent for hours, then suddenly sprint down down the hall screaming "I LIKE MITTENS!" or something equally crazy. Considers slacking to be high art. Unfortunately, he's currently holding down a crappy summer night job at Big K-mart.
Micah's a bit of a computer addict, and his chronically short attention span keeps him from getting much work done. But once you get him away from the Everquest, he's quite a smooth operator.
Jon got kicked out of college early on, the casualty of too much Final Fantasy and not enough studying. But since Mac Hall is the only place he can find unlimited bandwidth and video games, it's impossible to tell he's not technically still living there. Some have theorized you could do it with sensitive scientific instruments, but nobody's raised the funding yet.
Jon's companion in video gaming, Alan is the sworn enemy of the hateful Drew. The two have a long-running war of insults which has played itself out on door whiteboards everywhere. Analyists monitoring the situation believe that the contest will only end with the death of one of them.
Helen... In a comic that's mostly about guys and the dumb stuff guys do, a female character managed to slip in. How'd that happen? We're as puzzled as you are, folks. Further updates as events warrent.
Helen's closest platonic friend. Mike pretty much lives in his own world, and spends all his time in the university's sound studio. He's been known to posess tremendous personal magnetism, but only when he1s not trying.
Jason... Helen's boyfriend, until he broke up with her because he thought they should date other people. Independant observers are still wondering what the hell he was thinking.
Error Type 21... Restart (Yes / No) ?

...plugs slugs in vein, through the body of the immatterial whitness.
